Regional Hubs

Focal points for our research and development and associated education and training activities, our regional hubs are an integral part of the One Basin CRC.

Over 75% of our work program will be delivered through our hubs, each offering facilities to support local research and help build on and extend research capabilities in the regions. Through our hubs, researchers from Australia’s leading universities are working directly with industry, businesses, First Nations, community and government, ensuring research is fit-for-purpose and directly relevant to the region – local solutions for local problems.

Through the hubs, business and farming communities will learn how to apply One Basin CRC research outputs to manage, prepare for and adapt to changing climatic and market conditions. This will drive greater uptake and adoption, which is essential to achieve the innovation required for growth in both productivity and sustainability.

The hubs provide a meeting place for regional advisory committees, a place for regional communities to connect with the CRC’s activities, and a home base for our PhD students. Our hubs enable partnerships and collaboration with and between industry, government, agencies and natural resource management stakeholders.

Our hub managers coordinate, link and where needed, supplement extension services to support farm level adaptation in farming systems, business management practices and risk management.
