In October 2024, a panel expert presenters delved into various facets of desalination in an agricultural context, exploring:

• broad context for brackish water in an agricultural setting
• the water balance including production, permeate and brine components
• implications of water quality on water recovery.

We will explore the installation of a demonstration desalination plant in Loxton at Century Orchards. Our discussion will identify practical aspects to consider for implementing a desalination site.
